Buffs take care of business

Last Saturday night the Colorado men's lacrosse team took a huge step forward in the development of their program as they faced their longtime rivals the CSU Rams. The Rams
have enjoyed a 15 game winning streak over the Buffs in a span of ten years. Coming into the
biggest game of the year thus far, the Buffs were mentally prepared and executed almost flawlessly for the entire game. Aside from giving up the first goal of the game to the #8 ranked
Rams, the #11 ranked Buffs took control of the game and never looked back, culminating in an
11-4 win for Colorado.
I don't think enough can be said about the level of commitment and dedication these athletes have shown this year. From the first day of fall practice the team agreed to implement new
strategies and protocols, such as our speed, strength, and conditioning program to
help them prepare for the competitive season. It is a privilege for the Next Level staff
to be a part of this program and see the teams efforts being rewarded with what is one
of their biggest wins in a decade.
The Buffs are now regular season Rocky Mountain Conference champions and will take the
number one seed in the conference tournament this weekend. The tournament will be hosted
by Colorado this year and the first game will be against Utah this Friday. For more information
regarding the tournament go to www.culax.org.
Good luck Buffs!
